Cold Smoked Fresh Chorizo - Bachka  as a pair (approx. 380-400g)

Is remarkably rich and lavishly spiced and an absolute triumph of taste. This well-respected classic has its regional origins in our family homeland of Bachka, in northern Serbia, and is redolent of Picante Hungarian paprika and garlic.

The richness of the Bachka lingers in this already robustly flavoured fresh chorizo creating a truly complex, bursting flavour that is difficult to replicate and impossible to forget. It’s hot, but not so much that it overwhelms the great flavour. This sensational premium fresh chorizo is enjoyed fresh – only a couple of days after smoking. A definite favourite.

Fresh Chorizo - Bachka is a fantastic addition to strengthen and enhance any dish. Easily grilled, gently fried, boiled or baked and when lightly cooked in this way, the highly spiced flavours intensify, natural juice and colour bursts forth when sliced and your meal is seasoned to perfection. Ideal with eggs or on the barbeque for a real treat. Delicious when added in pasta, rice or soups, or simply savoured on its own.

Our authentic recipe remains unchanged. We hand select specific pork meat, strictly from the back leg and completely trimmed of all fat, which is spiced and mixed with fatback, ground and stuffed into natural casings, then steadily cold-smoked.
